Blonde Edition wins Great Taste Award

Exciting news... We're really proud to announce that our Peanut Caramel Blonde Edition just won a Great Taste Award! Now both of our products, Original and Blonde Edition, are officially award-winning.

The Great Taste Award, from the Guild of Fine Food, is a big deal in the food industry. It's like the Oscars of the artisan food world. The stars are especially coveted by producers in the artisan food world.

What do the stars mean?

From the Guild of Fine Food:

A 1-star award recognises products that deliver excellent flavour. These items stand out for having a clearly enjoyable, well-crafted taste that judges agree is worth celebrating. Approximately 25–30% of entries receive a 1-star each year, so, earning this mark shows a product has passed a rigorous blind tasting and delivered fantastic flavour.

A 2-star award is given to products that go above and beyond simply delicious to be outstanding in taste quality. These products exhibit notable depth, balance, complexity or refinement compared with ordinary entries. Only around 10% of entries achieve this level, making it a distinction of higher excellence in flavour.

A 3-star award is the highest accolade in the Great Taste scheme and is reserved for products that are truly extraordinary in taste and quality. These items demonstrate exceptional balance, depth, distinction and overall sensory impact.

Only around 40% of products entered into the competition receive an award at all, so we're flattered and delighted with our 1-star award.

When we launched Peanut Caramel Blonde Edition earlier this year, it's been a roaring success, more than we could have predicted. We're considering developing some more Peanut Caramel variants to add to our product lines, so watch this space!
